In Nigeria, there is currently the Nigerian Armed Forces (RWAFF) which consists of the 3 types: Army, Navy and Air Force, and from the 3 branches, the Army consists with the most men and power.
Of the entire Nigerian Armed Forces, there is a total of approximately 70 million man power in the force (36 million male, 34 million female forces).
This army was formed when the Royal West African Frontier Force was changed into the Nigerian Armed Forces after Nigeria gained independence in 1960.
Man power that is fit for military service is approximately 20 million men and 19 million women.
The nation uses approximately 1.5% of their GDP for military use and has developed greatly over the decades.

CURRENT LEADERS
The Chief of the Air force Staff is Air Marshal Oluseyi Petirin.



The Chief of the Army Staff is Lieutenant General Abdulrahman Bello Dambazau.




The Commander of the Naval is Vice Admiral Ishaya Ibrahim.



The Nigerian Armed Forces is one of the most strongest military forces in the African continent. During the Persian Gulf War (1989-1990), the Nigerian Armed Forces were the only force that was able to send a military expedition abroad in the Western African nations. This shows the tremendous power that Nigerian Security has. The Nigerian Armed Forces also improved its sophisticated technology and vehicles now. The foreign trade of armed vehicles such as new imported Fighter Jets, Weapons and Tanks improved the armed force's ability to be more enhanced and imporve the army's strength. It has most importanly become more advantageous.
